1. The Yellow Emperor was reportedly born in the region of modern-day Shaanxi province where Kuiju is located according to Chinese mythology.
2. The Qin Dynasty (221–206 BC) was the first dynasty to unify China and establish a centralized government, with its capital city Xianyang being approximately 60 km from Kuiju.
