1. The Battle of Porac – a significant battle during the Philippine-American War in 1899.
2. Jose Abad Santos – a Filipino jurist and statesman who served as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. He was born in San Fernando, Pampanga (near Porac) and is considered a hero for refusing to collaborate with Japanese forces during World War II.
