Minzhu is a small town located in the northwestern part of China, Situated in the province of Gansu. The name Minzhu means democracy in Chinese, Which reflects the town’s political history as it was one of the first towns to adopt democratic principles during China’s early years. The town has a population of around 50, 000 people and covers an area of approximately 20 square kilometers. The town’s economy primarily relies on agriculture and livestock farming.
