    2. Hkun Sa, also known as Khun Sa or Chang Chi-fu, was a drug lord who controlled much of the opium trade in Southeast Asia during the 1970s and 80s. He had close ties to various rebel groups.
    3. During World War II, Mogaung was an important battleground between Allied forces led by British General William Slim and Japanese forces. The Battle of Mogaung lasted from June to August 1944 and resulted in an Allied victory.
