Navoiy is a city located in the central part of Uzbekistan. It was founded in 1958 as a mining town and named after the famous Uzbek poet and philosopher Alisher Navoiy. Today, It is one of the largest cities in Uzbekistan with a population of over 200, 000 people. The city’s economy relies on its rich mineral resources, Particularly gold and uranium.
