Ōakashichō is a small town in Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture, Located near Mount Fuji. The name means large oak town and refers to the oak trees that once grew in the area. With a population of around 7, 000 people and an area of approximately 23 square kilometers, Ōakashichō has a rich history dating back to ancient times. One of the main attractions in Ōakashichō is its hot springs (onsen), Which are believed to have healing properties due to their high mineral content. Visitors can enjoy soaking in these rejuvenating waters at one of several public bathhouses or traditional Japanese inns.

Another popular attraction is the annual cherry blossom festival held every spring when thousands of cherry trees bloom throughout the town.
