In October-November2015 Typhoon Lando passed through Luzon Island causing flooding and landslides that affected many areas including parts Davao Region such as Compostela Valley Province where it caused at least six deaths and left more than forty thousand people homeless including those from neighboring cities like Tagum &Panabo City.
