Sanandaj is a city located in the western part of Iran and is the capital of Kurdistan province. It is situated at an altitude of 1, 481 meters above sea level and has a population of over 300, 000 people. The city has a rich history that dates back to the Sassanid era, And it was once known as Sisar. Sanandaj is surrounded by mountains which makes it an ideal location for hiking and trekking. The city’s climate is moderate with hot summers and cold winters making it a perfect destination for tourists all year round.
