Shubrā al Khaymah is a district in the northern part of Cairo, Egypt that is bordered by the districts of Al-Matariyyah, Heliopolis, And Nasr City. It has a mix of residential and commercial areas and is densely populated. The district has a rich history dating back to ancient times when it was known as Per-Imen-mat-khent or the house of the god Imen. One notable landmark in Shubrā al Khaymah is the Palace of Prince Muhammad Ali Tawfiq which served as a residence for members of Egypt’s royal family until 1952.

Today, It serves as an art museum displaying works by Egyptian artists from different periods. Another landmark worth visiting in Shubrā al Khaymah is Al-Azhar Park which offers stunning views over Cairo’s skyline. The park was built on top of a former landfill site and opened to the public in 2005 after extensive renovations.
