The Sinpo Shipyard is one of North Korea’s largest shipyards and has been responsible for building some of the country’s most advanced submarines.

The shipyard gained international attention in recent years when satellite imagery showed that it was undergoing significant upgrades to its facilities, Including new docks and cranes capable of handling larger vessels. Sinpo also serves as an important fishing hub for North Korea. Its location on the coast provides easy access to rich fishing grounds in the Sea of Japan and East China Sea. In addition to its industrial activities, Sinpo has several cultural landmarks worth visiting.

Another popular attraction is Mount Kumgangsan which offers stunning views overlooking both land and sea.
