Sripur is a city located in the central part of Bangladesh, About 40 kilometers north of Dhaka, The capital city. It is situated on the banks of the river Sitalakshya and has a population of over 200, 000 people. The city is known for its rich cultural heritage and historical significance. The history of Sripur dates back to ancient times when it was ruled by various dynasties including the Pala and Sena dynasties. During the Mughal period, Sripur became an important center for trade and commerce.

The city was also a hub for silk production, Which was highly valued by traders from all over India.
