Elizabeth is a city located in the northeastern part of New Jersey, United States. It is the fourth-largest city in the state and one of the most diverse cities in the country. Elizabeth was founded in 1664 and named after Elizabeth Carteret, Wife of Sir George Carteret, One of the two original proprietors of New Jersey. The city has a rich history that dates back to colonial times. It played an important role during the American Revolution as it was a major transportation hub for troops and supplies.

The Battle of Elizabeth took place here on June 7, 1780, Where American forces fought against British troops. Today, Elizabeth is known for its vibrant culture and diversity. The city has a population of over 125, 000 people with more than 50% being Hispanic or Latino.
