Sultan Kudarat is a province situated in the southern part of Mindanao Island, Philippines. It was named after Sultan Muhammad Dipatuan Kudarat – a Muslim ruler who played a crucial role in resisting Spanish colonization during the 17th century. The province consists of one city and 11 municipalities with an area of 5, 298 square kilometers. The landscape of Sultan Kudarat is characterized by rolling hills, Mountains, And vast plains that are perfect for agriculture. The province experiences two distinct seasons – wet and dry.

The wet season starts from June to November while the dry season lasts from December to May. Agriculture is vital to Sultan Kudarat’s economy as it produces high-quality rice, Corn, Coconut, Sugarcane, Banana, Mangoes as well as other crops such as rubber trees and oil palm. Livestock farming like cattle raising also contributes significantly to the local economy.
