1. The University of Arizona’s sports teams, known as the Wildcats, have a long and storied history in Tucson. The school has 19 varsity teams that compete at the NCAA Division I level, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and soccer.
2. The Tucson Roadrunners are a minor league ice hockey team that play in the American Hockey League (AHL). They were founded in 2016 and are affiliated with the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes.
