1. Lao Premier League Football: The Lao Premier League is the top professional football league in Laos. It was founded in 1990 and currently consists of eight teams from around the country, including two from Vientiane – Lao Toyota FC and Eastern Star FC.

6. Judo: Judo has been introduced to Laotian people since 1960s by Japanese expatriates living here. The first judo club was established by Mr.Kazuo Saito, a Japanese expatriate who lived for many years until his death. Nowadays, judo becomes more popular among young generation especially after having Ms.Vixay Keosavang, the only female judoka who represented Laotian team in Olympic Game 2008.
