Yola is a city located in the northeastern region of Nigeria. It is the capital of Adamawa State and is situated on the Benue River. The city has a population of approximately 400, 000 people, With diverse ethnic groups such as Fulani, Hausa, And Yoruba living together peacefully. The history of Yola dates back to the 19th century when it was founded by Modibbo Adama, A Fulani warrior who established his kingdom there. The city played an important role in the trans-Saharan trade routes that linked West Africa with North Africa and Europe.

Today, Yola remains an important commercial center for agriculture and livestock trade. One notable landmark in Yola is Lamido’s Palace which serves as both a cultural center and administrative headquarters for Adamawa State. The palace was built in 1907 during the reign of Lamido Zubairu Jibrilu who ruled from 1890 to 1924. Another significant attraction in Yola is the American University of Nigeria (AUN). The university was founded by Atiku Abubakar, Former Vice President of Nigeria, With support from American donors.
