Albany is the capital city of the state of New York, Situated on the west bank of the Hudson River in the northeastern region of the United States.   5. The Tri-City ValleyCats are a minor league baseball team based in Troy, NY since 2002 and play in the New York-Penn League as an affiliate of the Houston Astros.
  6. The Albany Empire is an arena football team established by Ron Jaworski’s Philadelphia Soul ownership group at Times Union Center in February of 2018. They won ArenaBowl XXXII by defeating Philadelphia Soul on August 17th, 2019. Their home games have been sold out ever since they started playing at Times Union Center making them one of few teams with such record across any sport category nationwide.
