Bāneh is a city in the West Azerbaijan Province of Iran, Located in the northwestern part of the country. It serves as a gateway to the Kurdish region and is surrounded by beautiful mountains, Including Mount Mishkoor which stands at an elevation of 2, 700 meters above sea level. The city has a rich cultural heritage that dates back to ancient times. It has been inhabited by various civilizations throughout history such as Medes, Achaemenids, Parthians, Sassanids and Ottomans.
