Changzhi is a city in Shanxi province, China. It covers an area of 14, 869 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 3.5 million people, With the majority being Han Chinese. The city has a rich history dating back over 2, 000 years to the Warring States period. It was once an important transportation hub and commercial center on the ancient Silk Road. Today it is an industrial city that focuses on coal mining, Chemical manufacturing, And agriculture.

One of Changzhi’s main attractions is Mount Lingshan Scenic Area which features natural scenery such as mountains, Waterfalls and forests as well as cultural sites like temples and pagodas. Another popular attraction is Yungang Grottoes which are located about two hours from Changzhi by car or bus.
