Helong is a county-level city located in the southeastern part of Jilin Province, China. It is situated on the border with North Korea and shares a 56-kilometer boundary with its neighbor to the east. The city covers an area of 3, 456 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 300, 000 people. The name Helong means river dragon in Chinese, Which refers to the scenic Helong River that flows through the city.
