1. The Hiroshima Toyo Carp is a professional baseball team located in Hiroshima, Japan. Founded in 1950, they are part of the Central League of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and have won three league championships and one Japan Series championship.
2. Sanfrecce Hiroshima is a professional football club based in Hiroshima, Japan that was founded in 1938. They currently play in the J1 League, which is the top tier of Japanese football. The team has won three J.League titles, four Emperor’s Cup titles, and one Asian Champions League title.
3. JT Thunders is a men’s volleyball team located in Hiroshima, Japan that was established in 1997. They currently compete at the V.League Division 1 level which is the highest tier of Japanese men’s volleyball and have won six V.League Division 1 championships.

Fukuoka Red Falcons is a women’s basketball team based out of Fukuoka City but plays their home games at Sun Plaza Arena located within Peace Memorial Park near ground zero for atomic bomb explosion that devastated city during World War II. They were founded as an expansion franchise for Women’s Japan Basketball League (WJBL) ahead of its inaugural season held on October 2009.

6. If you enjoyed okonomiyaki but want something even thicker, give Hiroshimayaki a try! This unique version of the dish can be found at Hassho or Mitsuyasu.
