Jhang is a historic city located in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is situated on the banks of the river Chenab and is known for its rich cultural heritage, Historical landmarks, And agricultural significance. The city has a population of over 500, 000 people and covers an area of approximately 8 square kilometers. The history of Jhang dates back to ancient times when it was known as Gangia or Gangarida. It was ruled by various dynasties including the Mauryans, Greeks, Mughals, Sikhs, And British.

The city played an important role in the independence movement of Pakistan and was one of the first areas to join the Muslim League. One of the most notable landmarks in Jhang is the Shrine of Sultan Bahu which attracts thousands of visitors every year. Sultan Bahu was a Sufi poet and philosopher who lived during the 17th century and his shrine is considered to be one of the holiest sites in Pakistan.
