Jianshe is a city located in the southwestern province of Sichuan, China. It is situated in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and covers an area of approximately 4, 000 square kilometers.     3. Wen Yiduo, a modernist poet who promoted modern Chinese poetry and literature, lived in Chengdu during the early 20th century.
  3. The Battle of Jianshui (1864) was fought during the Taiping Rebellion between Qing forces and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.
