Leling is a city located in the southwestern part of Shandong Province, China. It covers an area of 1, 191 square kilometers and has a population of around 500, 000 people. The city is situated on the banks of the Wei River and surrounded by mountains on three sides. Leling has a rich history dating back more than 2, 000 years. During the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD), It was called Lecheng and served as an important transportation hub for goods traveling between northern China and central Asia.
