1. The Battle of Kaithal in 1567 was a significant event in Indian history, fought between Mughal Emperor Akbar and Hindu king Hemu, who declared himself ruler of Delhi. Hemu was defeated.
2. Raja Harsha ruled over Kaithal during the 7th century AD and was known for his patronage of Buddhism and cultural exchange with China.
