Nong’an is a city located in the northeast of Jilin province, China. It sits at the intersection of two major highways, National Highway 102 and National Highway 202. Covering an area of 4, 200 square kilometers with a population of approximately 600, 000 people. The history of Nong’an dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) when it was known as Nongzhou. During the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), It became an important trading hub for grain and silk due to its location on the Songhua River.

Today, Nong’an is still known for its agricultural production with crops such as corn, Soybeans, Rice, And wheat being grown in abundance. One popular attraction in Nong’an is Xianghai National Nature Reserve which covers over 100 square kilometers and is home to over 300 species of birds including rare species such as white cranes and red-crowned cranes. Visitors can also see other wildlife such as deer, Wild boar, Foxes and more than ten species of fish that inhabit Xianghai Lake.

Another popular attraction in Nong’an is Wujiazi Mountain Scenic Area which offers breathtaking views from its peak that stands at an elevation of over 1, 000 meters above sea level. Visitors can hike up to the summit or take a cable car ride for panoramic views across the surrounding countryside.
