Rājendranagar is a suburban area situated in the southern part of Hyderabad, India. The locality was named after Dr. Rajendra Prasad, The former president of India. It is known for its serene atmosphere and lush greenery as it is located along the banks of Musi River. The region has a rich history dating back to the Nizam era when it was used as a hunting ground by nobles. Later during British rule, It became a popular residential area for government officials due to its proximity to important administrative buildings.

Presently, Rājendranagar has evolved into a bustling suburb with several educational institutions such as Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad and Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU). It also houses several research organizations like National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), And Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Apart from education and research institutions, Rājendranagar also hosts many industries such as pharmaceuticals, Food processing units, Textiles manufacturing units which provide employment opportunities to thousands of people in the region.
