Taytay is a municipality in the province of Rizal, Philippines, Located on the eastern part of Metro Manila. It shares its borders with the municipalities of Cainta, Antipolo, And Angono. Taytay’s textile industry is known for producing high-quality garments that are exported worldwide. The town’s name Taytay originated from the Tagalog word taitai, Which means to spread out or lay flat. The town was named after its vast flatlands that were ideal for farming and grazing animals during pre-colonial times. The Taytay Tiangge or Market Day held every Wednesday and Saturday is one of Taytay’s most popular attractions.

This market offers a wide variety of goods at affordable prices ranging from clothing, Accessories, Home decor to fresh produce making it a go-to destination for both locals and tourists alike. Another must-visit attraction in Taytay is the Angono Petroglyphs located in Binangonan Rizal just a few kilometers away from Taytay.
