Vadodara, Also known as Baroda, Is a city in the western state of Gujarat, India. It is situated on the banks of the Vishwamitri River and is one of Gujarat’s largest cities. The city has a rich cultural and historical heritage with evidence of human settlements dating back to prehistoric times. Throughout history, Vadodara was ruled by various dynasties including the Mauryas, Chalukyas, Solankis, Mughals and Marathas before it was taken over by British East India Company in 1802.
