1. The Whitby Dunlops is a senior ice hockey team that played in the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) and later in the Allan Cup Hockey League. They have won four Allan Cups, which is Canada’s national senior ice hockey championship, in 1957, 1959, 2007 and 2013.
2. The Whitby Warriors is a Junior A lacrosse team that plays in the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL). They have won six Minto Cups, which is Canada’s national Junior A lacrosse championship, in 1984, 1985, 1992, 1997, 2000 and most recently in 2011.
3. The Whitby Wolves are a girls’ ice hockey organization that offers teams at various levels of play from house league to AAA. They have produced numerous players who have gone on to play at the university level or for Team Canada.
4. The Brooklin Redmen are a Major Series Lacrosse team based out of Brooklin but with strong ties to Whitby as well. They have won five Mann Cups which is considered the top prize for Senior A box lacrosse teams across Canada.
