Dinajpur is a district situated in the northern part of Bangladesh, Covering an area of approximately 3, 437 square kilometers. It is bordered by India to the north and west, Thakurgaon to the east, Panchagarh to the northwest and Rangpur to the south. The district has a rich cultural heritage and was once ruled by various dynasties including Maurya, Gupta, Pala, Sena and Mughal. One of Dinajpur’s major attractions is Kantaji Temple which was built during the late 18th century under Maharaja Pran Nath’s patronage.

The temple boasts intricate terracotta designs on its walls depicting scenes from Hindu mythology such as Ramayana and Mahabharata. Ramsagar National Park is another popular tourist spot in Dinajpur which covers an area of around 60 acres. The park features a large man-made lake that dates back over two centuries ago when it was constructed during King Ramnath’s reign.
