Lashkar Gāh is the capital of Helmand province, Located in southern Afghanistan. The city has a population of around 200, 000 people and sits on the banks of the Helmand River. Its name means army barracks in Pashto, Reflecting its historical military significance. The city has a rich and intricate history that dates back to ancient times.
