Longjiang is a county-level city situated in the northeastern part of Heilongjiang Province, China. It covers an area of 3, 200 square kilometers and is located on the banks of the Songhua River. The region has a rich history dating back over 5, 000 years to when it was inhabited by various ethnic groups. One of Longjiang’s most famous attractions is its ancient city wall built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The wall stretches for over 5 kilometers and has four gates that lead into the city.
