Nay Pyi Taw is the capital of Myanmar, Located in the central region of the country. It became the official capital in 2006, Replacing Yangon as the administrative center. The city was built from scratch to serve as a political and administrative hub for Myanmar. The name Nay Pyi Taw means Abode of Kings in Burmese. Covering an area of over 7, 000 square kilometers with a population of around one million people, Nay Pyi Taw is relatively unknown to tourists due to its remote location and lack of tourist attractions.

One unique feature of Nay Pyi Taw is its wide boulevards and spacious roads that can accommodate up to ten lanes of traffic. This design facilitates smooth movement for government officials and dignitaries who travel frequently between government buildings scattered throughout the city. The centerpiece attraction in Nay Pyi Taw is its parliament complex known as Hluttaw Complex. It consists of two identical buildings that house both houses (upper and lower) chambers with a capacity for more than 1, 300 lawmakers each. The complex also features an impressive dome-shaped hall that serves as a venue for state ceremonies.

Another notable landmark in Nay Pyi Taw is Uppatasanti Pagoda which stands at over 100 meters tall, Making it one of Myanmar’s largest pagodas.
