Shuangyashan is a city situated in the northeastern part of China, In Heilongjiang province. It is located at the point where two major rivers, The Songhua and Nen Rivers intersect. The city spans over an area of 22, 000 square kilometers and has a population of around 1 million people. The name Shuangyashan translates to “Twin Duck Mountain” in English, Which refers to two duck-shaped mountains on either side of the city. These mountains are popular tourist destinations that offer breathtaking views from their peaks.

With a history dating back more than 2, 000 years, Shuangyashan was initially inhabited by nomadic tribes before being settled by Han Chinese during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). In recent times, It has undergone rapid development due to its abundant natural resources like coal and timber. One notable landmark in Shuangyashan is Longquan Temple – one of China’s oldest temples built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The temple features traditional Chinese architecture with intricate carvings and sculptures.
