Adilabad is a small city located in the northern part of Telangana state in India. It is situated on the banks of the Godavari River and is surrounded by dense forests, Hills, And valleys. The city has a rich cultural heritage and historical significance. Adilabad has been ruled by various dynasties such as Satavahanas, Chalukyas, Kakatiyas, Bahmanis, And Nizams. The history of Adilabad dates back to ancient times when it was known as Edlabad. The name Adilabad was given after the ruler of Bijapur Sultanate – Ali Adil Shah I who captured the region in 1610 AD.

The city played an important role during India’s freedom struggle. Adilabad is famous for its handicrafts such as wooden toys, Silver filigree work, Handloom sarees etc which are popular all over India.
