Antofagasta is a coastal city situated in the northern region of Chile, Known as the Atacama Desert. It serves as the capital of Antofagasta Province and is home to around 400, 000 people. The city was established in 1868 to facilitate mineral exports from nearby mines and has evolved into a significant commercial center for both fishing and mining industries.
