Choloma is a city located in the Cortés Department of Honduras, Situated in the northwestern part of the country. It is known as one of the most important industrial and commercial centers in Honduras, With a population of nearly 300, 000 people. The city is situated on the banks of the Chamelecon River and has a tropical climate. Choloma’s economy relies heavily on manufacturing and agriculture. The city boasts several large factories that produce textiles, Clothing, Plastics, And other goods for export to international markets.

Additionally, Choloma has fertile land that supports crops such as coffee, Bananas, Sugarcane, And citrus fruits. The city has several notable landmarks that attract tourists from all over Honduras. One such landmark is San Isidro Labrador Church which dates back to 1890s. This beautiful church features Gothic-style architecture with intricate carvings on its façade. Another popular attraction in Choloma is Parque Nacional Cusuco which sits atop a mountain range near the city limits.

This national park covers an area of about 23 square miles and offers hiking trails through lush forests filled with exotic flora and fauna like orchids and howler monkeys. In addition to its natural beauty spots; Choloma also hosts various events throughout the year that showcase its rich cultural heritage such as La Feria de San Isidro Labrador which takes place every May to celebrate patron saint St.Isidore or Dia de los Muertos (Day of Dead) celebration held every November where locals decorate cemeteries with colorful flowers & candles.
