Erdenet is a city in northern Mongolia, Situated around 240 miles northwest of Ulaanbaatar. With a population of approximately 100, 000 people, It is the third-largest city in Mongolia. The city was established as a mining town in 1974 and has since grown into an industrial center for the region. The primary attraction in Erdenet is its copper mine. The Erdenet Mining Corporation (EMC) operates one of Asia’s largest copper mines and produces over one million tons of copper concentrate annually.
