The town has emerged as a key industrial hub in central India due to its location on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). Pithampur is situated 35 km from Indore, Which serves as a major economic center for the state. The DMIC project aims to create an integrated industrial corridor spanning six states across India.
